You can’t help but love the charming and spontaneously staged old-fashioned nostalgia in Radiourgies. The restaurant that marries tradition with unquenchable creativity in flavours – long before it became cool – continues unscathed, imbued with comfort intimacy and warmth, both in food and in entertainment.
Their space, with its scattered antiques, the old kafenion tray – which has been cleverly turned into a ceiling lamp – its hand-painted wooden chairs, satiates the eye before the first appetizers arrive; juicy grilled mushrooms with lemon sauce, garlic, curry, paprika and cumin, Metsovitiko chicken with an unforgettable sauce of smoked Metsovone cheese and sun-dried tomato, the established – and best seller – Chilli con Carne with slow-cooked ground beef, pancetta, red beans, bacon and hot pepper – simply delicious, gets eaten with no hindsight.
It is impossible to come and not try their grilled beef liver, served with fava beans and caramelized onions, offering deliciousness in every bite, the most precious kontosouvli around, sprinkled with an excellent mustard sauce, the pompous sirloin steak of 700 g, with aromatic butter and roasted new earth potatoes. Here you will not just snack; you will eat the essence of Greece, all of it!
In Radiourgies, the meze adapts to a new era, questioning quality and answering with a resounding ‘yes’, combining the grilled and the cooked, everything that hunger asks and mood creates. Weather permitting, the tables at the top veranda become a hotspot, since it offers an unobstructed view of the hill with friends competing to see who will ‘steal’ the most meze.
