Holy B: When street food met art

If you were told the phrase ‘gourmet burgers’ a few years ago, it would probably be a little difficult to understand what exactly they mean, but the truth is that self-respecting burger joints have thrown away the label of fast food a long time ago.

Delightful fluffy buns that embrace juicy beef burgers, melted cheese, sauce, tomato and lettuce. This is how we would epigrammatically describe a delicious burger. A burger you bite into and if you’re not careful can make a great mess, but even if you do, who cares?

We don’t care about the mess and we love burgers, so obviously  we’re always looking for the best and gourmet versions of them. Well, it can’t be better and more gourmet than Holy B!

Holy B at Gyzi Square clearly belongs to the burger houses that have almost elevated the burger experience to fine dining. His reputation quickly spread throughout Athens both because of the food and the atmosphere, since both customers and staff always come and go smiling. Evidently queues started forming and as a consequence the move to a larger space, about a year and a half ago.

The quality here is the alpha and the omega, so you won’t find anything pre-packaged or processed, but homemade and with wholesome ingredients and mostly handmade! Even the bread for the club sandwich!

From their very large menu, it is definitely worth trying their signature burgers, the Mushroom Burger with fresh beef patty, truffle mayonnaise, sautéed mushrooms, American cheddar, smoked bacon and iceberg. For chilli lovers, El Patron’s Chilli Burger with fresh beef burger, extra spicy mayo, mixed vegetables, guacamole sauce, spicy cheddar, smoked bacon and tomato, while Casanova’s Burger a little alternative with fresh beef burger, handmade ketchup, panko mozzarella, pepperoni, rocket and onions.

The main boss of the catalogue is without a doubt The Boss Burger, their xxl burger with 2 fresh beef patties, 1 BBQ pancetta, Jack Daniel’s sauce, double smoked bacon, double American cheddar, caramelized onions, tomato and iceberg . Everything is served with lots of fries for an extra dose of love!

And some extra good news, before or after enjoying your luscious meal (weather permitting outdoors or indoors), you can enjoy a nice coffee since Holy B collaborates with the most famous coffee shop in the area the Aroma Cafe. Also note that you can organize your children’s party here because we are talking about an extremely family friendly shop and area!
