A group of friends with love and knowledge for speciality coffee, couple of years ago set up a large living room for coffee lovers; enhancing it with some very tasty brunch and comfort food, after office wine and drink options and musical DJ sets early in the afternoons. The vision: To literally make your day lovely, that now ranks them among the friendliest and feel-good shops in Peristeri.
With the relentless creativity of people who always want to offer the very best to their guests, the Lovely Days team recently made a complete reset to its menu, with sharing in mind, fresh options at brunch, cocktails, bar food fulfilling and hearty options; some of the most beautiful things to supplement the warm summer days.
The perfect start is always with quality coffee – the house blend or guest single varieties – while in the new entries of the morning menu, you can find wonderful imam eggs with sourdough bread, eggplant salads, poached eggs, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese and red smoked peppers cream, new tasty omelettes and an excellent sunny side up egg, with a crispy crust, milk, chilli, trahana and grilled feta cheese, classic traditional recipes completely updated and with a Greek touch.
The design and its façade wins you instantly; the space is surrounded with glass surfaces to use the advance of sunlight and connecting the guests with the rhythms of the neighbourhood. Between the polished mosaic floor and the mid-century Scandinavian design with the neo-café elements, there is a huge marble bar surrounded by pop deco and earth tones that make a very welcoming environment.
Here you can satisfy every drink palate; for the beer lover there are microbrewery options and a very nice updated cocktail menu for everyone else. The chicken souvlaki with pitas and tomato mayonnaise or the ground beef meatballs, fries, parmesan and yogurt sauce will make you reflexively exclaim ‘another round’, everything is simply delicious.
The unpretentious and relaxed atmosphere, it almost makes you want to take off your shoes, squat on the comfortable metal chairs, take a glass in your hand and lose track of time chatting until late at night. If that’s not lovely, then we don’t know what is!
