The story of Rizom, at Vourvachi Street no3, which from the heart of Athens, has taken root in our hearts since June 2021, is through a journey of magical moments that united two creative and artistic souls, Thalia and Vincent and led them to the creation of the greenest, most enchanting and beloved corner of Athens.
Rizom is a very special concept store, an urban jungle, where green beautiful indoor plants live, breathe and grow in. But it is not a simple flower shop where you choose a plant and leave. It is a gallery of plants, ceramics and works of art, coexisting in complete harmony, enchanting you to keep looking and wondering at these living artefacts, just like in an art gallery.
The space itself is a statement; the industrial setting of an old car garage is transformed into a small jungle, the beauty of which leaves no one unmoved, changing our views from the daily city grey to an inviting green paradise.
The space changes daily, highlighting every charming side of rare alocasias, air plants, mysterious orchids and impressive monsteras, you can wonder while learning the secrets of their upkeep. Moreover if one of your plants is a bit sick, you can bring it here and they will treat it for you, giving you tips and advice for further care.
In the specially designed loft, the most special workshops take place, such as the very interesting art of Kokedama (the use of moss in the form of a ball around the roots of the plant, replacing the pot, in a plastic-free ecological and impressive effect), exhibitions of new artists and bazaars often take place. Rizom loves friendly visits, so you will find it at various pop up events in bars in Athens, where they create magnificent, impressive green corners.
During Christmas this special artistic hangout, has a series of events and bazaars organized, with handmade jewellery, vintage clothes and much more, with ideas for the most wonderful gifts that will delight but also give a different breath of life to your beloved.
