From the Royal Villa of Monza to Villa Reale, the old villas of the Italian countryside had spaces used as greenhouses and as ‘courtyards’ for days when the weather didn’t allow a regular outing into nature.
In most cases, these spaces are no longer maintained, resulting in the dense growth of herbs and plants within. This was the inspiration for the Papakosta family – the serial entrepreneurs behind the Burger Joint and the exceptional Italian restaurant Vittoria Gati in Nymphon Square in Glyfada – who wanted to create an extension of their initial concept, a spritzeria and wine bar, against a lush green backdrop.
So, right next to it, since last July, stands a place whose aim is to transport us into these advantages of the Italian countryside: wine, quality cold cuts, and cheeses from the neighbor, the relaxed atmosphere created by their combination, as taught by Italian restaurant tradition and the institution of the evening aperitivo.
Another ideal meeting point for the afternoon-evening fully in harmony with the rhythm and vibe of the area, in one of the most charming and vibrant spots in Glyfada. Because true enjoyment and good times are usually found in simplicity, in this case, within a beautiful, welcoming garden.
